Giulia Astesani was born in Milan in 1987 where she graduated in Photography at the European Institute of Design in 2009. In September of the same year she moved to London where she now lives and works as a freelance photographer both in the fine arts and commercial field.

“Usually I get ideas out of very simple things that I see in my everyday life, the randomness and unexpected disposition of things is something that always gets my attention: looking at a book on a table, a plant, or some clothes left on a bed or even the trash on the street, all these things are traces that we leave behind us and they become maps of our personal and collective memory. Objects are mysterious and melancholic, they are mirrors of our life and to me they definitely represent a very important source of inspiration.”
